Altis Properties

Since 2015, Cherrylake and Altis have collaborated on eight properties: Altis at Wiregrass, Altis at Sandlake, Altis Preserve, Altis Grand Suncoast, Altis Grand Lake Willis, Altis Horizon, Altis Shingle Creek, and Altis Grand Cypress. Long-standing partnerships with both the client and landscape architect are rooted in a shared commitment to quality, sustainability, and open communication—bringing thoughtful landscaping to life and shaping vibrant communities. By working directly with the client, we tailor each project to the unique characteristics of its location, from soil composition to plant selection, ensuring a customized and enduring landscape.

Altis properties are known for their luxurious atmosphere, yet each site presented distinct challenges and opportunities. At Altis at Wiregrass, the original soil contained a high amount of clay, causing poor water percolation. Cherrylake proposed replacing the soil, incorporating Florida-native plants, installing drainage, and planting the trees higher than normal to keep them dry. Lessons learned at Altis Wiregrass informed all other properties moving forward such as Altis Preserve where we decided to replace the top 12 inches of dry soil with grow sand, and Lake Willis where we also had drainage installed.

Altis amenities have a tropical resort-like ambiance with palm trees weaved throughout. Residential areas feature low-maintenance, Florida-friendly, and native plants, including Sweetbay Magnolias, Red Maples, Hollies, and Crape Myrtles, seamlessly blending with the upscale architectural design. This carefully curated array of trees and shrubs all come together to create an elegant and modern feel that defines Altis communities.
