Ihu’s Breakway Falls

Cherrylake installed the landscape and irrigation for Aquatica Orlando’s Ihu’s Breakaway Falls. Ihu’s Breakaway Falls is a thrilling one of a kind ride with four colorful water slides surrounded by a dense tropical landscape. The project consisted of new construction of a 105 foot tower with four different tubes that take various curving routes back to the ground, all of which is embedded in a sub-tropical themed landscape.

Ihu’s Breakaway Falls presented many of the traditional challenges of working in a quality-focused, Central Florida theme park that is open to guests during the construction phases. The Cherrylake team had to juggle some challenges that were unique to this water slide and site. With the resources of the tree farm, as well as a culture that values strong work ethic and problem solving, the team delivered a landscape that was instantly beautiful, functional and sustainable.
