Ruby Lake Ph. I & II

Originally planned as a future entertainment district for Buena Vista with countless roads encircling a lake, Ruby Lake’s landscape was developed under unique landscaping codes conducted by nearby high-end hotels. Cherrylake moved forward with the project as a fully integrated solution from landscape installation to irrigation and everything in between.

Because of Ruby Lake’s irrigation stringencies, Cherrylake used creative landscapes composed of massive beds of native plants, like Muhly Grass, to offset irrigated turf areas. Native trees including cypress, hollies, and crape myrtles (Florida adopted) decorated backyards. Through the collaborative effort of the county, the landscape architect, and Cherrylake, together we were able to provide an innovative and attractive solution acceptable to the county.
