Victory Pointe Park - Cherrylake

Victory Pointe Park

Victory Pointe Park is the first-of-its-kind in Lake County. An area that began as a sinkhole and swamp are transformed by Cherrylake into a beautiful, reclaimed pond and park for the community. The project originally stemmed from the need for a new stormwater facility in Downtown Clermont. Unlike the typical stormwater approach, Victory Pointe Park’s system naturally filters stormwater in the sinkhole before it permeates into the lake. Designed around native Florida environments, it allows cleaner stormwater to drain into adjoining Lake Minneola through the percolation of gravel, rocks, large boulders, grasses, and ponds. The park is decorated with a number of wet, aquatic plants as well as pickleweed and bald cypress.

Additionally, this project creates a vital community amenity, which provides wildlife habitats, recreation, expands the development opportunities in the surrounding area, and provides a signature address for future adjacent development. Overall, the project strongly shares Cherrylake’s values in sustainability, community, beauty, life, and vision, and as a local project, our Cherrylake family can enjoy Victory Pointe Park firsthand.

Victory Pointe Park opened to the public in the summer of 2018.
